The problems with going up to $20K compared to $1K is the funds need to be borrowed for a lot longer period.
The beauty of Afterpay is the number of times they can recycle the same capital and earn a fee on it each time.
I can’t see all these providers surviving. There’s a NZ BNPL mob looking to list on the ASX and I reckon OPY should consider a takeover if it stacks up as they can use script. Afterpay, Zip & Flexi are so well entrenched in this market it’s going to be hard for OPY to get any serious traction if they don’t do something different
Klarna is still to be launched here too & LatitudePay has deep pockets too
