No David Darling, as it indicates in that message he released, was simply announcing his intention to retire to give the Board the chance to advertise and find a suitable new CEO. The idea being that David could work along with the person in a transition phase before fully handing over. David is going to be available as a consultant to PEB after he steps down from running the company.
