The biggest risk of all I see, is Amazon, Google or someone even Xaomi with existing customer bases coming in overnight.

Consider .. Amazon already have tens of millions of customers with Amazon Prime and Alexa in their home. The extra wifi sensors, could be pushed out for a few dollars of hardware and immediately integrate with that ecosystem. No additional monthly costs, much cheaper hardware and distribution systems in place.

That's just one company, that could - and likely will - gazzump the likes of Scout overnight.

Correct. This one was probably in the trash bin till someone came along with the ASX exit plan. Reviews made it appear they no longer cared.
