I suppose it would depend on how the directors have set up their financial positions ..related to tax issues....whether they would have enough time to re-arrange their taxable income so as to pay as little as possible...after all...they are the ones making all the decisions...
...and they do have to look after themselves so that ...they are in a sound financial position to look after the company....
the ipo or a trade sale will be a line ball decision.....the franking credits mentioned may factor into any decision but may well be out weighed by director and major shareholder financial positions in this financial year.
on the point of taking advantage of a sale in a good market ver waiting it out for a tax break...you are correct......
