Odd decision? How about a damn expensive decision!
What happens to all their fresh product? That food in their fridges is the companies money. Even with a preordering system, it’s near impossible to run fresh stock down to accommodate closure for 2 weeks.
So what do they do?
1) Freeze it and palm it off as ‘fresh’ when they open again? If so, lots of negative reviews coming.
2) Throw it in the bin and reorder once opened? What a waste of money.
Either way... another terrible call from these clowns.
