I like the idear of iPods and their smaller mates the flash players and both doubling up as data storage.

A novice and no so novice can download recording studio software and just plug in a couple of high-end microphones and start to mix up a beat or two or a few radio jingles here and there.

Sony is thinking of setting up a music download site and with an entry fee / annual fee to be considered.

Other posters knocking iPods users by calling them sheep are out of touch. They are insulting probably 80% of the youth and many adults. It's a bit like knocking people for having a TV unless it's black and white but then again BW has its own appeal.
