Reducing Energy Costs Through The Use Of Ceramic Fuel Cells

    Date : Wednesday 24th October 9.30 -12.30
Venue : Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, 15 South College Street, Edinburgh

The Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation is joining forces with iPower and Ceramic Fuel Cells Ltd to present a seminar on BlueGen fuel cells, for use in micro-CHP (combined heat and power) applications.

Widely predicted to be one of the energy sources of the future BlueGen ceramic fuel cells offer a breakthrough in making local energy generation cost-effective. Fuel cells convert natural gas into electricity with similar efficiency to a large power station. Unlike a large power station there are no transmission losses and heat can be used rather than wasted. A fuel cell is therefore the most efficient means of getting energy from gas - which, in turn, can be converted into savings for customers. BlueGen’s size makes it particularly suited for social landlords and small businesses.
