My partner just had his 8th iPPS injection today and I have noticed accelerated weight loss. He has MND which complicates things, of course, because he is losing muscle and therefore weight anyway. But, it seems to be so pronounced lately. Upside is it has helped his OA and sleeping problems significantly. He is also complaining of fatigue after each injection. I'm wondering whether that is a function of excessive dosage. They dose 2mg x ideal body weight for height, and as he continues to lose weight, his dose may become increasingly excessive for him.
I heard that they changed from 2mg per kg to 2 mg per kg of ideal body weight for height because, for example, shorter overweight people were getting an 'overdose'. Not sure what effect, if any, that would have.
