alecfra, appreciate your post.
over the last six months of researching UCG (heightened by the different opinions and questions asked on HC - thanks guys), from what i have read in regards to Len's origins with Linc- Peter Bond, i suspect there is tension between the two. There was a Linc presentation from last year that voiced some quite arrogant and quip remarks from Linc management towards Cougar. The fact that Len "lost control" of Linc suggests some major disagreement occurred and continues.
Nevertheless, it may well be that Len has not gained alliances in important places. That said - Linc has given up some time ago with any plans to commercialise UCG in Qld - smart play it seems since CSG gets preferential treatment.
IPS report:
It will be interesting to read Cougar's reponse. Why did they chose that particular sight? Why did they not respond immediately to DERM?
Their response time may be what has brought them down at the end of the day, and that's my concern with Carbon's situation now.
At the end of the day, it seems that the vocal group in Kingaroy made enough noise to successfully stop the trial.
I think the decision is particurlarly harsh considering the evidence that followed after the incident ie those results indicate a positive outcome when cases crack, imo.
Note to UCG companies - don't use a whiteboard.
Hey, at least they didn't use a chalkboard, or crayons!
