    -the labor government was in for the first few years of that - and yes they ( the power companies) did overbuild some infrastructure capacity, anticipating increasing power demand - but given population growth and no great drop off in power demand just as well they did

    -with respect to rates of return on infrastructure charging -that is done by a separate body

    - Labor has ripped billions in dividends from the power companies, even more than profits at times

    -Newman wasn't against roofttop solar, just the huge subsidies and the ridiculous 45c a kwhr that the Labor government had signed people up for
