i believe that has always been the case and is NOT new in the recent IR changes.
its just most employers were either scared to ask or were good enough to let it slide.
i still think common sense will prevail......pretty easy to tell if someone is sick isn't it?
and if in doubt...ask for a medical certificate.
all i am hearing atm is many happy empoyers who are now prepared to employ more people.
and that has to be good.
