This is becomming absurd and driven by tax evasion. Singapore has no oil. Singaporean wages are equal to or greater than Aus wages. To ship Aussie crude from Aus to Singapore, refine it there & then ship back petrol & diesel to Aus is a racket by the multinationals and we should simply pull the plug on the Singapore/Aus Free Trade Agreement.
BHP & Rio has been using Singapore as a morketing hub thereby facilitating transfer pricing to avoid Aussie Tax; and that's just two companies! Microsoft etc have been doing the same with the blessing of the ATO ( See Senate Finance Inquiry 2016)
