China will do nothing for the same reason they won't support North Korea in the event of war. China and the US are codependent, China cannot (and will not) go to war with their biggest trading partner just to prove a point. A war between these two will decimate both nations.

Like Skol said, Iran are just rattling their sabre, just like North Korea, because they are in similar positions. With the chaos of war, there would be CERTAIN civil unrest within the country and the current regime will undoubtedly be hung, drawn and quartered by the people. I know several Iranians, and none of them have forgotten 2009.

In any case, this seems like a pretty desperate ramp piece to promote CTP as a 'safety investment' in the event of WWIII. If what you say actually comes to fruition and the Chinese went to war with the US, we would not even have the luxury of buying stocks... assuming the capability still existed.
Without the US watching over us, you can bet your top dollar that the Chinese military's first stop would be Australian resource fields.
