call me cynical but the attack on the embassy was planned, i think the US warhawks have been itching to attack Iran to support investments in the military industrial business, and hopefully boost oil and gas price for much needed revenue to avoid US default before the election - US is worlds largest exporter after all and no sanctions on them.
