    Why do historians choose to forget this comment? - we regularly forget false flags when the two minutes of hate gets us going.

    Iran is no pushover if you look at how disadvantaged they were during the Iraq-Iran conflict and how this led to the tanker war that could have made the 1970's oil crisis look like a small blip how it affected the US economy and nearly saw the two largest superpowers going to war.

    Put simply the comment has been similarly used not just by Rumsfeld on Iraq, but by other's on Afghanistan and look how much they have continued to fester and drain US money and resources despite bombing them to the stone age. Put simply people like McCain said the same about Iran and it would make the 1970's oil crisis look like a minor event and we have forgotten how that brought the mighty US to its knees.
