Gold back, Crypto asset backed etc all play a part
The Yaun-Ruble settlement deal esentially can easily replace the petrodollar as China become the largest consumer and energy dependant economy and Russia and their "allie" or partners like Qatar, the stans, VZ, Iraq and Iran dominates the energy trade when they can control the distribution network. The US has to break it apart or they are doomed. The irony is their own actions are hastening their economic demise unless they insulate themselves from the shock.
