It would seem that the Iranians are interested in our weapons, by the way that bottom photo on page 8 is the first I have ever seen of a prototype Belt Fed Machine Gun (BFMG)by Metalstorm,it is electronically fired,if the weapon rotates at 3000 rpm and has eight barrels, then that equates to 24,000 rounds per min, the closest weapon to it would be the Phalanx which fires at 5000 rounds per min! the drawing on pages 12, 13, and 16 show the type on ammunition to be used in the BFMG, page 12 shows the cartridge, page 13 shows the primer set up and page 16 shows both, I presume they are talking about velocities on page 14, it would appear from this that the BFMG has only a single projectile in each cartridge at this point but the velocities are pretty good, better than those available from standard weapons I believe?
