In this video the commentator says the surrounding Arab states were attempting their own land grab when they attacked back in 1948. They had no concern for the Arabs living in Palestine.
also @ 7min mark, how Jews originally acquired the land.
“We have reams of evidence of how the land was acquired through purchase, trade, exchange of value for value. Now you might go back and dispute some of those transactions, you might say this was not a fair price but that’s an important part of the story, the (Jewish) land was acquired either individually or through consortiums”.
I’ll add, from my own research that a lot of the landowners who sold the land to the Jews were absentee Arabs from other States and the ancestors of those who call themselves Palestinians today mostly tenants of that land, they did not own it.
If they owned the land and chose not to sell it, war aside, no one took it from them.
