    The Arabs didn't agree to the partition plan in 1948 so it never happened. Jews gave up waiting and after the British left said FU and established their own State anyway which was subsequently recognized by the UN.

    Jordan, 70% of the original British mandate, had already been handed over to the Arabs two years prior in 1946.

    When the State of Israel was declared the surrounding Arab states, one of them being Jordan invaded Israel and took West Bank and Gaza.
    The Arabs had another go at trying to destroy Israel in 1967 losing the West Bank and Gaza in the process.

    Subsequent two state solutions have been continually rejected by the Arab leaders.
