The US may think that they can have some control over the situation but they won't. I think some type of deal will be made , certainly the oil market thinks so. However it will be heavily conditioned and incremental over time. But the reality is once the deal is done the world will be a more dangerous place and those that made the decision better be prepared to intervene later if what most inevitably think will happen.
