There would have been patriot missiles deployed 100%. Together with bunch of radars and close range missile/artillery defense systems.
And electronic warfare counter measures.

We are talking about large US base in the middle of Iraq. Where favorite past time is shooting rockets and drones on Americans and Israelis.
I think that pinpoint accuracy cruise missile strikes on Saudi oil assets and largest US base in Iraq proves first 1 wasn't a fluke. Or Saudi missiles weren't turned on or crews are incompetent.
The reports by Saudi soldiers of Saudi patriot missile batteries being direct hit in Yemen by Iranian made rockets also goes from highly doubtable to not so much.
It's not easy hitting large US/Russian military installation with ww2 katyusa rocket, let alone with bunch of cruise missiles. That just doesn't happen. Odd one getting through, sure. But not most of them.
