I understand your point but I was reading the article as using the word missile as more a translation issue than a technical description.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that just about all modern torpedoes are virtually impossible to detect via sonar and already travel faster than any conventional warship. 25m/s is about equal to 50 knots and there aren't too many ships out there that travel faster than that.
If it is in fact "rocket" propelled (and that concept is not new as it has been in sporadic use since the 1930's)
and therefore not able to be wire guided, then its chances of intercepting it's target are almost zero as it would be like firing a shot from a .22 cal rifle in total darkness at a target 1 km away, based on where you though you heard a faint rustle in the grass.
