Herewith the questions ICCIM, the leading business forum in Iran, is asking the prospective presidential candidates. It is a shame many voters will not be voting on the basis of answers to such questions. I suspect many will vote according to how they are instructed to do so by the Supreme Leader. Iran is all about crony capitalism and concentrating wealth in the hands of those who support the revolution and in the hands of those who will dispense patronage in return for support for the system, perhaps? However, like the Soviet Union, you would think the system would collapse eventually if they can't get the economy right.
The above piece is from yesterday's/today's Iran Daily. The best answer any of the presidential candidates could give the underlined question is to recognise there is a going rate of expected return in the world outside Iran on risk capital and that the best way to get the required capital investment is to recognise no one is willing to subsidise Iran with cheap risk capital out of love for the country, particularly when the Government there is so hostile to the West.
