Gold won't skyrocket, it doesn't for anything these days,it should've spiked $100 on North Korea but didn't do anything which for many means that the USD is the place to be, not gold.

In addition the Euro is undergoing an orderly retreat against the USD which beckons well for Europe, I doubt we'll see much drama there.

Even if the cold war in the Gulf turns hot it'll be over in an instant, the Iranians are more than likely a centrally controlled military like Saddam Hussein's and a serious attack on their communications will paralyse them.

There's other pipelines available these days as well, it'll be a flash in the pan, but I doubt the Iranians will have the balls, no air cover means a massacre.
