Skol, I certainly am not counting on war to boost the gold price. Oftentimes such effects are short-lived and war tensions are just a lazy way to explain a surging gold price if the two ever coincide.

The US and Israel have a lot to fear from Iran if they are stupid enough to pick a fight with actual weapons rather than covert ops and financial warfare.

The surface-skimming supersonic sunburn missile for one which could destroy a US carrier group in seconds.

The most likely way a war will start is that someone will stage a false-flag attack, maybe sink some US rust-bucket that was due for decommissioning anyhow, US will blame it on Iran, and the crazies will get another one of their glorious wars.

That said, the sanctions on Iran are already totally unjustified acts of war, so whatever happens let's remember the US picked this fight, not Iran.
