it would only be a matter of political will to change immigration procedures - but Australia in fact is a weak country - a good country but a weak country when it comes to taking a stand on these sorts of issues.
Australia is too beholden to UN charters which count for nothing and are drafted by those who seek only that every nation on earth be levelled to the status of third world countries..... the UN is packed with nobodies (Kofi Annan the perfect example), who contribute nothing - but he's quick to make sure his family made a lot of corrupt dollars?
I think western countries should form their own club and ditch the UN - they are only good for receiving bribes and then looking for more handouts.
