Iran would not be a walkover, especially as they are close to China/N Korea. Their missiles are the most powerfull in the ME and their military has been trained along western lines. The British would not have been where they were by accident and by now the Iranians will have 'explored' the craft for any hi tech surveillance equipment. Remember the US spy plane brought down by the Chinese cruising along the Chinese coast ,listening in. As for nuclear development, all the oil producers should be building nuclear plants with their oil money for the day when it dries up, including Australia.
