You reflect the view of probably the greater number of HC Posters , well at least certainly for me.
We are mostly likely not Jews, nor Muslims and have little interest in ethnic issues from other countries.
We are Australians , who are very concerned about our country and now trying to eliminate this foreign generational hatred that has seemly invaded our society or lives whether through stealth and more probably through the very openness and freedoms we allow in our society. The issue is with extremists. Our very hard fought freedoms for democracy plays into their hands and is used against us.
Are we to turn into a police state , with ever stricter laws that restrict and control our freedoms because a few who bring their "excess baggage" with them , who wish to impost onto us a way of living, values or beliefs or way of thinking that has already destroyed the societies they escaped from as refugees , for a better life?
Is the solution just another Band-Aid by Governments that takes us further and further away from our way of living and thinking and closer and closer to a alien way of existence? I believe PC has become the weapon of the extreme minority and playing around with our freedoms and life style to try and counter it is wrong and drives us closer to what they want.
