I really don't have an opinion on the Iraqi affair but posted this because a Canadian friend of mine who works for the UN called me this morning and brought to my attention these facts. He talked about the bad relationship the UN has with the US command in Iraq and that the US command despised Sergio de Mello because of a conflict in interests between the UN and US. Anyway this guy was supposed to be posted to Iraq in September and now he isn't sure whose side he was on anymore. He was highly suspicious that the US did this to repay the UN for not supporting the initial war in Iraq.
