iraq v bailout

A salutary lesson into the mindset of Americans

When Iraq was invaded, barely a whimper of protest from US citizens, no questioning of motives, lack of WMD evidence etc etc. Decision to go to war passed with few dissenters

Bailout - tens of thousands of phonecalls to congress members, a seething underbelly of discontent among the populace, outrage, a bailout voted down etc etc.

When it comes to putting a bullet through the head of a baby in a foreign land, there's barely an eyebrow raised; when somebody on Wall St gets a dollar of 'my' money - fits of outrage.

Little wonder we all love them...
