That of course did not apply to Jews and gypsies etc. as you say. Whether that mentality would have continued is debatable.
The wackos in Germany had serious opposition and when that would have taken over is anyones guess.
Every country eventually wants to be part of the world community, because of trade or influence or whatever.
The fact is if Germany had been given a decent chance to recover after WW1 then WW2 would probably never happened.
