It's an Iress ViewPoint bug. I purchased a license through Commsec and had no help getting an answer to this. I called Iress directly and was forwarded to their support team; they told me that they could see some tickets raised concerning the broadcast function, and that there were indeed some bugs with the chart. I said couldn't they just reactivate the old chart, but they said this isn't possible as that was outsourced previously and they no longer have a contract with that vendor. So my guess is they cancelled the service with the old widget and either tried to rebuild it themselves, or have gone with another service provider. Either way they've tried to market it as 'New' but it's been hacked together and is completely unusable. This is a core functionality of the Iress Trader app and it wouldn't be ethical to charge users for the service until it's fixed.
