That is not a crime.
However, the illustration you brought wa simply auction scalping.
Yes, you are correct, there are numerous instances of manipulation every day from bots etc. - and guess what?
ASX will do nothing about it as they are incompetent/understaffed/unprepared to take on the Big Boys etc. - take your pick.
Nobody puts a gun to anyone's head to play the market.
That's the playing field, that's the game - it ain't easy; if it was, everyone would be a multi-millionaire by now.
