"Are you now the exclusive spokesperson for all Irish and their descendants?"
Of course I don't; to suggest as much is churlish.
But on a discussion forum, like everyone else, I share my observations and experience-based insights.
But go on; you tell me: How many Irish people do you know who willingly adopt a mantra of Irish Lives Matter to draw attention to their cause?
Because I can assure you that all the Irish people I know (and while I am lapsed, I have deep and wide Catholic roots; we bred like flies, so I know a broad cross-section of Irish people) would laugh you out of the pub if you chanted "Irish Lives Matter!"
And if it occurred at a certain time of the day, namely after sufficient swilling of pint's o' plain, you'd most likely get a bloody nose for good measure!
The Irish people I know have way too much self-respect to rely on pithy sloganeering for the setting of goals for themselves and to improve their stations in life.
The world is replete with living examples of that.
