China have said that many of their companies have paid far too much for mines and resources.

In the case of IMIC, taking over Afferro, they have just agreed contracts with infrastructure companies together with China having first rights to buy iron ore at market prices.

It seems unlikely China would agree a purchase of Sundance but a near certainty that their infrastructure companies are very keen to do deals with SDL or another party.

The same companies in agreements with IMIC would want to extend to SDL's resources, further inland from those of Afferrro.
