There is a word for very excessive statements that should not be taken seriously: Hyperbole!
Buy for 10c and sell 1 year later for $1 ... Gain is 1000% pa
Buy for 10c and sell 3 years later for $1 ... Gain is 330% pa
Buy for 10c and sell 6 weeks later for 22c ... Gain (annualised) is Circa 1900%
