    Who are you referring to in the following Howard or Rudd?

    Just with the reference to not being a labor man it could fit Howard or Rudd.

    man standing for nothing other than power. he's just an opportunist. He's full of pretence, he's vain and he's a popularist, incapable of taking a firm stand on anything that would stretch the thought process of the voters. He actually promotes himself as a conservative because he thinks that's safe, yet he's voted against every single hard issue that the Libs presented. He appeals to the lowest common denominator.
