just goes to emphasise what a thankless job it is - being Prime minister - and working your G+uts out for 11 years.

At least we have someone who repesents us with dignity and aplomb, who is a world class stateman as well as our leader. And whom we have never even had to be ashamed of, or embarrased by, in the whole extent of his 11 years in office.

It's called CLASS - fellas. Something intangible not many Aussies set any store by these days!

Some people have it - some unfortunately don't.

John Howard , whatever his human failings (and don't we ll have them?) sure has what it takes in the Class department!

And he never has to lower himself to the level of personalised sneering to score points, so on evidence with regard to the tactics of his debating opponent the other night, and many of his front benchers...

Downer also represents us overseas magnificently, also being well endowed with this very elusive quality called CLASS. He never does anything to shame us with his representation.

Can't see some Union Rep front-bencher doing it as well frankly.
