    The best way to try to understand China is to 'walk in their shoes for five minutes."
    Imagine if you are the supreme leader of Aus ; possibly there for life according to your peers.

    Then imagine that one of your trading partners was supporting your enemy who was hell bent on
    removing you and the party from power and divying up Aus into States thereby neutralising
    Aus military might as an aspiring global power.

    Where would you be..eh?

    You'd minimise trade with your hostile customer/trading partner even if in the shorter term if that meant
    paying more for imports

    Given that, then under what conditions would you entertain normalising trade with that hostile trading partner.?
    Personally I dont know but perhaps other might have a solution...eh?

    The first question that I would ask of both Xi & Binden would be:

    "From your point of view,( that's both Binden & XI) how can Aus get a similar deal to
    Japan where it has managed to retain the status quo with both the USA and China?

    All IMO only and by the way, I always put Aus first, not the USA, China or Mother England!
