Iron ore explorer Sundance Resources has reiterated it is on track to complete a definitive feasibility study for its Mbalam project in Cameroon by the end of the year.
"We believe strategic interest in Sundance has increased as the asset approaches the definitive-feasibility-study stage, which is due by year-end," Renaissance Capital said in a research note earlier this week.
Renaissance Capital said they expected Sundance to enter into partnership with an Asian steel-related investor in a deal similar to the build-operate-finance agreements signed by firms with iron ore assets in Sierra Leone and Guinea this quarter.

London Mining said it has entered into a joint venture (50%) with am unspecified Chinese and Chilean based partner to take advantage of several iron ore opportunities in the Atacama region of northern Chile.
London Mining is developing four iron ore mines, Marampa in Sierra Leone, Wadi Sawawin in Saudi Arabia, Isua in Greenland and one in China through a 50 percent stake in the China Global Mining Resources joint venture.
