All the cash these guys have been making will start to filter through to the markets over coming months!
They will probably retain as much of these profits as they can, for future exploration and investment in JVs, takeovers, increase resource measurements of existing mines!
BHPs' full-year profit is expected to jump from $US10.7bn last year to $US13bn, but will still be short of 2007-08's $US15.4bn.
BHP is looking at a 30%+ Profit increase, which is sensational!
BUT, that is the advantage of small and mid cap producers, their profits rise during these times by 200-500%! For example Territory Resource Operating Loss of $38m in 2008/2009, is now expecting a complete turnaround of an Operating Profit in 2009/2010(just past) $100-120m!!!
Once it is announced, it is reflected in their share price or 200-500% increase!
