Fine to say that this rail network was always in private hands not public, that's true. What he left out was that the WA government gave BHP and RIO permission to build them on the condition that this network would be made available to other parties in the future. This fact was part of the orginal FMG submission to the WA government before the NCC got involved. It's all about the big boys trying to stop competition and keeping the IO to themselves.
