BHP Billiton Increases Iron Ore Output 23 Percent as Prices Rise to Record.
(Bloomberg) BHP Billiton, the world's biggest mining company, said fourth-quarter iron ore production rose 23 percent to a record, as it expanded mines in Australia to meet soaring Chinese demand. The shares rose to a four-month high.
