China's imported iron ore market made a strong advance on Tuesday July 2, spurred on by higher steel prices and improved sentiment.
Mainstream prices for 63.5% Fe Indian fines hit $120-121 per tonne cfr China during the day, up $3-4 per tonne from Monday’s range of $116-118 per tonne cfr. "Both spot steel prices and steel futures saw relatively strong rises today, encouraging some steel mills to return to the market," an iron ore trader in Shandong province said
