Iron ore prices up slightly amid healthier futures, increase in steel trading
Seaborne iron ore prices increased on Friday May 27 amid an improvement in front-month swaps and futures prices and an increase in the volumes being traded in downstream steel markets, sources told Fastmarkets.
The value of the most-traded September iron ore futures contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange increased on Friday, ending the day up by 3.5% from Thursday’s settlement price.
