China's steel makers have been complaining that the recent price increase has been due to Chinese commodity speculators and traders pushing the price up. They have asked the Government to impose limits/taxes/controls on the traders. The Chinese Government doesn't like speculators and most of the big steel producers are government owned. Expect to see lower iron ore prices in the short term.
