Shorting plays a pivotal role in the market. Also plenty of examples of high % of shorts on stocks who continued to rise more than substantially. In my opinion shorts cop most of the blame on a s/p decline which is totally illogical.
Ironic that a large portion of posts on h/c are from long term holders commenting on the daily ebb and flow of the markets.
