That's a very informative interview without bias. It makes a lot of sense with regard to developing and using our own gas, versus importing it from the Middle East. Automotive fuel in the US is now around 90c/l so its no wonder they are cleaning up on us.

We import gas from the Middle East, process it in Asia, and use it here. At the same time we sell our raw gas wholesale to Japan and other places. Also, it interesting to hear him (and Dow) say that the way to open up gas fields is to reward the farmers (like in the US) who now sit on the potential gas fields.

It all makes a lot of sense. But I'm not holding my breath, given Australia's political situation.
