The only thing that will turn around the IO price is if the big 4 including FMG collude. Tighten the tap to the Chinese and say, ok at $68.60 a tonne we will supply you with x million fewer tonnes of iron ore . Iluka Resources has tried to do this with mixed success in the mineral sands market but I believe Rio Tinto's subsidiary in Namibia kept undercutting Iluka on price. This was about 1-2 years ago. Have not kept up with more recent goings on in that market.
