The problem is that planned belt changes for shutdowns do not always go to plan, when breakdowns happen. A core emphasis is now to focus on areas of spillage and to make sure its cleaned up asap. Spillage underneath belts causing rubbing and slowly deceases the belt size over time. But its not just that, the real issue with getting consistent tonnes is the ore, that comes from different pits. Some ore is good and doesn't cause too much buildup inside the chutes. Where other ore can cause all sorts of dramas through the whole plant. So it's always a different day, some days cruisy other days a real headache and very busy. The good thing is being able to shift from wet feed to dry to keep the plant going, while chutes etc get unblocked. Though the board does want 100% feed running through the wet plant, as it increases iron ore % slightly which they want.
